Regina Dominican Illinois State Scholars for the Class of 2023

Regina Dominican High School is proud to announce the Illinois State Scholars for the Class of 2023. To be named an Illinois State Scholars, students must be a:
A US Citizen
A resident of Illinois
Have taken an ACT or SAT between August 1st and June 30th and have scored in the 95th percentile of the ACT or SAT exam.
Perform in the top one-half of their high school class.

Senior, Melanie Ovalle, named an Evans Scholar

This year, a record 315 students from across the country have been awarded the Evans Scholarship, a prestigious full housing and tuition college grant offered to golf caddies. One of the 315 is Regina Dominican Senior, Melanie Ovalle.

Bowling Team received McDonell Award third year in a row

This past week, Regina Dominican High School announced the winner of the McDonell Award, recognizing the athletic team with the highest collective Grade Point Average (GPA) during a given sports season, to the Bowling Panthers. This marks the 3rd straight year that the Bowling team has won this award.

Track & Field place 4th in GCAC Indoor Championship

The Regina Dominican Track & Field team had an incredible indoor season, finishing 4th at the GCAC Indoor Championship over the weekend.

Junior, Haneefa Adam, broke the school record for the 60 M dash but only after Sophomore, Sara Byrne, established the new school record a few minutes prior.
