At Regina Dominican, we believe in rising to the challenge and this year, our students proved once again that they are more than ready to meet it. We are proud to announce that 51 students have been named AP Scholars in 2025, marking a school record and a significant leap in academic recognition.
This milestone includes:
- 30 AP Scholars
- 11 AP Scholars with Honor
- 10 AP Scholars with Distinction
These awards, granted by the College Board, recognize students who have demonstrated college-level mastery across multiple Advanced Placement (AP) exams. To qualify, students must earn scores of 3 or higher on rigorous exams covering subjects such as English, history, calculus, biology, and more.
The AP Scholar with Distinction designation, Regina’s highest-ever this year, requires an average score of at least 3.5 across five or more exams.
What makes this accomplishment even more extraordinary? In just four years, Regina has seen a 219% increase in AP Scholars, rising from 16 scholars in 2022 to this year’s historic 51. Not only are more students challenging themselves with advanced coursework, but they are also excelling. This year’s average AP exam score at Regina Dominican was 3.50, well above the national average.
