Regina Dominican’s 4x800 Relay Team Qualifies for IHSA State Finals, Continuing 5-Year Streak of State Appearances

Wilmette, IL — May 19, 2025 — Regina Dominican High School proudly announces that its 4x800-meter relay team has qualified for the IHSA State Finals, marking the fifth consecutive year that the Panthers Track & Field program has advanced athletes to state competition.

The standout relay team — comprised of Charlotte Kroll ’25, Olivia Mauer ’26, Chloe Thiel ’26, and Niamh Byrne ’28 — delivered a remarkable performance to secure their spot at state. This season, the same team captured the Independent Schools League (ISL) Championship title in the 4x800 relay and earned all-conference honors, underscoring their dominance and cohesion on the track.

This year’s relay team brings not only speed but a legacy of success. Charlotte, Olivia, and Niamh were key members of the 2024 Cross Country team that also qualified for the IHSA State Meet in the fall — a testament to their year-round dedication and endurance.

"We are very proud of our 4x800 relay team for qualifying for the IHSA State Finals.  Earning a state qualifying time is never easy. I know that Coach Bohlke, Coach Tully and Coach Burke are very proud of this group as well.  The coaching staff and team has worked hard to continue the excellent tradition of the RDHS track and field program,” said Regina Dominican Athletic Director, Brian Mancuso.

The Regina Dominican community celebrates this incredible achievement and looks forward to cheering on the 4x800 relay team as they compete at the IHSA State Finals, which takes place on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Eastern Illinois University.
