Athletics are an integral component of Regina Dominican’s commitment to educate and empower our students to be independent thinkers, relentless truth-seekers, and confident and compassionate leaders. Through Athletics, we promote essential leadership skills by developing our student-athletes’ self-confidence, resilience, teamwork, sportsmanship, mental toughness, discipline, loyalty, and respect for others. These character traits will serve them well throughout their lives. By shaping a student-athlete’s character and values and providing the opportunity to be a contributing member of her team, Regina’s athletics programs grow future leaders.
Multiple Opportunities to Compete & Connect
Under the leadership of our Athletic Director, our coaches are committed to providing a great athletic experience to all our student-athletes. We strive to create a strong sports culture at Regina Dominican by providing multiple sports teams, a competitive environment, tools, and training to our student athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators. We provide opportunities for our Panthers to both explore an interest in sports as well as advance their individual athletic prowess by truly pursuing their passions.
Of our robust athletic offerings, our ten sports are not limited to opportunities on the Regina Dominican campus alone. We support our students in their athletic pursuits, including our equestrians, gymnasts, hockey players, rowers, sailors, and more, who participate in club teams, travel teams, and community-based programs. The entire student body enthusiastically supports our teams, cheering for their friends and displaying Panther Pride.
Regina Dominican is a proud member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and the Independent Schools League of Illinois (ISL). The ISL is a league of private secondary schools in the Chicago metro area whose mission and academic philosophies are similar to our own. The ISL offers competition in a wide range of sports.
