Accelerated Math Program

The Regina Dominican Accelerated Math Program may be taken by qualified junior high students as part of our mathematics program.
This first-year elementary algebra course introduces students to algebraic functions and expressions;
solving, graphing, and writing linear equations; solving and graphing linear inequalities; operations with
polynomials; solving, graphing, and writing quadratic equations; an introduction to functions,
introductory probability and statistics; applications; rational expressions and equations, and radicals.

Sixth and seventh-grade students who meet the following requirements may apply:

  • Score in the 90th percentile or above on the standardized Mathematics test administered in their school.
  • Complete the application process.
  • Receive the recommendation of their current grammar school/junior high mathematics teacher.
  • Demonstrate mastery on the Proficiency Exam of Pre-Algebra skills administered during March.

The Accelerated Math Application(listed above) must be submitted through your current Mathematics teacher.

Tuition for this course is $1,000 and an iPad is required.

Honors Algebra I class meets Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.**


Classes meet at Regina Dominican and students must bring an electronic device of their choosing (iPad, laptop or tablet)

Students who have successfully completed coursework in the Accelerated Mathematics program will receive an official transcript and course credit from Regina Dominican. Should a student enroll at another high school, acceptance of the credit is at the discretion of the institution.
