Regina Dominican Alumna Carol Ross-Barney '66 receives The American Institute of Architects Gold Medal Award

The American Institute of Architects has given its Gold Medal award to Carol Ross Barney. One of the industry's top prizes, the award puts Barney, 73, in the company of past winners including Frank Lloyd Wright, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Frank Gehry and Santiago Calatrava.

It is an honor to have the legacy of a true trailblazer leave such a lasting mark on our Regina Dominican community and we could not be more thankful for the opportunity to have welcomed Ross Barney to the Regina Dominican campus this week as a part of our Building Her Tomorrow Panel. Her expertise and insight as a woman paving a path for future generations in her field shed an incomparable light of inspiration for our students and we are honored to have her and her team taking on the project of renewing our “Heart of the School”.
