Regina Dominican High School Celebrates 13 Members of the Class of 2026 Named Illinois State Scholars

Wilmette, IL - Regina Dominican High School is proud to announce that 13 students from the Class of 2026 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars, one of the state’s most prestigious academic honors.

The Illinois State Scholar Program, administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), publicly and personally identifies graduating high school seniors who demonstrate superior academic potential. Students from nearly every high school in Illinois compete for this distinction, and State Scholars can be found at nearly 200 public and private colleges and universities across the state.

This honor is awarded based on a combination of exceptional ACT or SAT scores and outstanding sixth-semester academic performance, including unweighted class rank and grade point average. These metrics reflect a student’s exemplary achievement throughout high school and indicate an especially strong potential for success in college.

“We are so proud of the achievement of these Panthers, and congratulate them on this major academic accomplishment.” shared Regina Dominican Principal Dr. Kassie Porreca. “Their hard work and commitment to academic excellence shines through brightly, and they earned this honor over years of commitment to their own learning.”

ISAC collects test scores and academic data during one academic year to determine State Scholar awardees for the following year. The designation stands as a highlight of each student’s academic record and a testament to their dedication and perseverance.

Regina Dominican congratulates the following members of the Class of 2026 on this remarkable achievement:
