Mary Grace ‘26 Schafer Recognized as Member of IADA All-State Team

Regina Dominican High School is proud to announce that senior Mary Grace Schafer ‘26 has been recognized by the Illinois Athletic Directors Association (IADA) as a member of the IADA All-State Team at the organization’s annual conference in Peoria. The conference took place on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Schafer, a four-year member of Regina Dominican’s volleyball and lacrosse programs, earned all-sectional honors in lacrosse this season. In addition to her athletic achievements, Schafer has excelled academically, being named an Illinois State Scholar and holding memberships in the National Honor Society, the Rho Kappa National Honor Society for Social Studies, and the National English Honor Society.

She is one of only 39 student-athletes statewide to be recognized by the IADA this year and is the first student-athlete in Regina Dominican history to receive this prestigious honor.

“Congratulations to Mary Grace on this outstanding accomplishment,” said Athletic Director Brian Mancuso. “We have many outstanding student-athletes at Regina Dominican, and Mary Grace is well-deserving of this honor. We are proud of her achievements on and off the field. We also thank the Illinois Athletic Directors Association for sponsoring this award and recognizing deserving students across the state of Illinois.”

Mary Grace Schafer will attend Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in the fall.
