Regina Dominican Graduate Named IBCA MVP

Paws Up to recent Regina Dominican graduate Laura Strenk '21 for being named MVP of the 2021 Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Class 1A/2A All-Star Game that took place Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Pontiac High School.
 
The IBCA All-Star games select the top girls and boys basketball players in the State of Illinois and Laura was invited to participate as one of the top All-State players representing the 1A/2A North Team.
 
The 1A/2A North Girls Team took home the championship winning 100-68 setting a record being the first girls team scoring 100 points in an ICBA All-Star Game.
 
Former Regina Dominican faculty member, coach and current Girls Chairman of the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association- stated " Her teammates were elated when she won the MVP because of her leadership qualities.....Laura is one of those rare multi-sport athletes that you don’t see very often..."
 
We are extremely proud of Laura and all of her accomplishments on and off the court! Laura's passion, dedication, school pride and leadership made a long-lasting impact on our community. We can't wait to see everything she accomplishes next year as she continues her basketball career playing for the Colorado College Tigers!
