Leadership Institute

Unique to Regina Dominican, the Leadership Institute is a resource center and hub with specific programming for girls to discover their voices, find their passions, and build the leadership skills needed for success.

Here, every student has a personalized academic path, leadership is at the heart of every class, and joy fills our learning environment. The results speak for themselves: measurable growth, lifelong skills, and outstanding college placement outcomes.

Empowering girls to lead with confidence and make their mark on the world.

At Regina Dominican, leadership isn’t a class—it’s a culture. Our unique Leadership Institute gives Regina students a competitive edge – for college recruiting, for career development, and life. Our students gain the skills, confidence, and real-world experiences to lead with purpose and make a difference.

Inspire. Act. Lead.

That’s our motto, and it lives in everything we do.

From day one, students explore their voice and values through innovative programs like Leadership Scholars and Leadership Badging, which cover powerful themes such as Authentic Self-Confidence and Global Citizenship. They connect with top-tier opportunities like Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership, and the United Nations Working Group on Girls, gaining exposure beyond the classroom.

Monthly events like the Her Story Started Here speaker series connect students with accomplished alumnae—from doctors and detectives to CEOs and creatives—proving that leadership takes many forms.

Regina Girls Lead

Her story started here

The Her Story Started Here Speaker Series provides students with the opportunity to engage with distinguished Regina Dominican alumnae who have excelled in a wide range of professional fields. Each month, a featured alumna shares insights into her Regina experience, professional journey, significant accomplishments, and the lessons learned along the way. The breadth of speaker topics highlights the diverse career paths of our graduates, including medicine, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, life coaching, actuarial science, global leadership, forensic psychiatry, nursing, law enforcement, and law.

Why it Works

In our all-girls learning environment, students thrive. Research shows 93% of girls' school grads say they had more leadership opportunities than their coed peers—and Regina girls are no exception. Many graduate with transcript recognition and a competitive edge for college admissions.

Leadership at Regina empowers every student to become a confident, resilient, and innovative leader. My favorite leadership activity at Regina is the end-of-year Capstone Project, where each student gets a chance to share what they learned about the leadership theme at the end of the year.
