College Counseling

While college counseling begins freshman year, students are encouraged to focus on their high school days. It is important for them to make the most of every opportunity at Regina. The academic, extracurricular, and leadership experiences they embrace here are the most powerful way to build the self-awareness, skills, and confidence needed to find the right college fit.

 At the start of junior year, each student receives a personalized college counseling binder. This serves as a comprehensive guide, outlining key steps, timelines, terminology, and additional resources to help students and families stay organized throughout the process.

Each year, Regina organizes multiple site visits to a variety of colleges and universities. These trips give students the chance to experience different campuses, ask informed questions, and gain valuable context for building their college lists. Recent visits have included the University of Notre Dame, Marquette University, and Saint Mary’s College.

Intensive support for students and families begins junior year. Regina launches this phase with a comprehensive family kickoff session that brings together students, parents, Regina counselors, and college admissions professionals. The event provides families with an in-depth understanding of the college application process, including current admissions trends, timelines, and key requirements. Following the session, each student and family receives individualized guidance and support throughout their college planning journey.

Regina offers in-house ACT preparation and provides annual ACT and SAT testing for all students beginning freshman year. This early and consistent exposure helps students build confidence with standardized testing and identify areas for growth well before senior year.
